Main Street Tehachapi - Valentine's Day Wine & Chocolate Tasting Today

Main Street Tehachapi is excited to announce another entertaining evening. Our Downtown Businesses are hosting a Valentine's Day Wine & Chocolate Tasting Celebration on Saturday, February 13, 2010 from 6 to 9 p.m. This event will give you an opportunity to cuddle up to your sweetheart (or good friends!) and do something different for the most romantic weekend of the year. You and your sweetheart or loved ones will taste a variety of fine wines and chocolates paired together to bring out the best in each other, just like any other great relationship.

 

 

That evening you will receive 8 tasting tickets and a map of the participating Downtown businesses at 5:45 p.m.  Tickets are $20 per person in advance and $25 on day of the event. Tickets are available at the Main Street, Tehachapi office or by mail at P.O. Box 830, Tehachapi, CA 93581. For more information please contact the Main Street office at 822-6519.

CrossRoads Gallery and its'

CrossRoads Gallery and its' Artists will be one of the hosts and a supporter for the Wine Walk.  Tickets are $20 per person for a wine glass and eight 1 1/2 oz. tastes of wine and accompanying treats.  Sounds good huh?

In no particular order (because some may be moved around on the night of the Wine Walk), the musicians playing ambient music at the different tasting venues will be:

Linsey & Russell Carlson, Dave Ogden, Russell Keyes, Gypsy Chix, Tom Holden, Craig Shaw, Homeward Bound, Jesse Meyer, Daniel Sanchez, Lauren & Ken Leiboff, Guy & Debbie Martin, Pat Halpin, Tony VIce, Susie Hastings, Katlin Burris, 4 Goodness Sake, and Rob Sarampa.

These musicians will be showcasing their musical prowess for all to enjoy on their rounds about town. Most are available for hire for civic and private functions, so please keep that in mind as you stroll by. Maybe you need a musician or two to perform at your next future soirée! (Musicians are donating their time to play for this event, so tips are welcomed, and some may even have some merchandise for sale.)

This is so much fun!

Mike and I went to the very first one a couple of years ago. We had an amazing time, talked with a lot of great peeps. I'm happy to say Mike no longer drinks anything of the alcoholic nature...so I suppose I could taste all the wine, and he can have all the chocolate. Hmmm, I'll have to think on that, lol.

Main Streets Valentine's Day Wine & Chocolate Walk will be February 13. Gallery 'N' Gifts is a host site and we will be pouring Triassic Legacy Wine - a local Tehachapi wine!!!!!! Should be exciting to introduce this new wine. Gallery 'N' Gifts has tickets to sell - $20 each (should they be sold, please send customers to Hodad's for tickets). Tickets are in the cash register area at the Gallery.

And Debby and Peter...

 Debby Hand and Peter Cutler, aka "Occasional Folk," had also been added to the Valentines & Chocolate walk. They will croon their tunes for you at the beginning of the walk, at Tehachapi Flower Shop, where you pick up your sipping glasses.

Okay, unless there are any other additions or changes that should be that! All musicians have been placed into available spaces. We're gonna have a hot time in this old town!

Please, don't forget Mountain Music's open house Birthday Party, Saturday before the wine walk, Feb 13. Music and special sales all day!!! Call: 823-9994 for more info.

And, if you finish the Wine Walk early, sashay yourself on over to the Old Tyme Contra/Country Dance being held at the Community Church on Green Street, also 6-9 pm. Live band and caller ...all levels of dancers ...everyone is welcome!

 Wow...  you have a lot going

 Wow...  you have a lot going on.  You are so good at getting music together for Tehachapi events Terri and luckily we have enough local musicians to play at any size venue we may have.   Kudos to you and the musicians.   

Remember to leave tips people...  our musicians don't get paid for this.
