I read your August paper.
I read your August paper. There wasn't much in it that has to do with art or music. I did see ONE little piece on Jimmy Phillips doing some gospel thing at a private home in Bear Valley. Most of your news was on real estate, gardening, and wine tasting with a bunch of ads splattered all over. Your paper is too conservative for my taste. I can only pray future Mountain signals will be more entertaining.

I no longer do SOME of "the ads" for the Mountain Signal. With that said, maybe they are looking for someone to do that part of the job, but don't quote me. I personally had nothing to do with the Signal's layout, design, or content. I only stepped in and put together some ads for just a couple of months. Please try not to associate my professional artistic expertise and abilities with the production of that paper/magazine (and if that sounded like snobbery, well, 'tis. Purely, a reflection of only me!) ... I will add, however, that they are trying very hard too improve its looks. Only time will tell, and I wish them the best.
I think you should all continue to feed them input, constructive criticism, story ideas, calendar of events, artistic suggestions, content corrections, and anything else that can help turn their publication into a professional success. I am sure they are eager to hear from you and will be happy to reflect back what is really newsworthy in our community!
