A list of all Tehachapi's Webcams - Donkey Rescue in Tehachapi

T-Town Press's picture
I know a lot of people who work at EAB, and Bako who look at live webcams to see what kind of weather they have in store for them on their drive home to Tehachapi.

I knew they had a live webcam streaming on the Mountain Base site.  NIce work you guys do out their in Oak Knolls, I know that baud is costing you money....thanks.

There is another weather cam at http://tehachapi-pass-weather.net/wx39.html

And now they have one in my own neighborhood!   Yep right here in Sand Canyon at the Peaceful Donkey Rescue (the largest donkey rescue in the nation!).

Ok you have to watch a 30 second ad first so that they don't have to pay for the baud, but it still gets the job done.   If you are at work and you want to know if it's snowing, raining etc. in the canyon, here is the link, Donkey WebCam ,    See the donkeys playing?   Too flipping cute!.

Fun webcam

The most fun I've had with a webcam (hehe, sounds bad) is looking at the one at Mammoth.  You queue up and when your time comes you get to control the webcam.

The website

www.mammothmountain.com/WebCams/  Just go here, click on whichever camera looks interesting, and start messing with stuff.  It'll put you in line to move the camera around.  I like Mammoth- not for skiing, just for looking around at everything.  So it's perfect for people like me :)

I don't have a webcam because I'm terrified of them.  I'd be scared it would turn on without me knowing or something awful like that!

Bear Valley webcam and weather station

Here's a webcam and weather station in Bear Valley Springs on the valley floor.

The webcam is a live feed and updates about once a second.  The weather station updates about once every minute or so.

Awesome site Greg, lots of

Awesome site Greg, lots of great pics and information you got there!  Thanks for another webcam link. They are good to have if only to find out what the weather is like in certain areas of Tehachapi

I have been using a personal webcam during the winter for the last few years to help some of my friends at EAB to see what the weather is like up on 58 before they drive home.  It faces down the mountain I live on toward the wind mills across the 58 just south of the Sand Canyon exit during the day.  It uploads  about once every 5 minutes if I remember to turn it on.   At night it sleeps on my kitchen table as you can see.

The donkey webcam is brilliant. It's always nice to see new and innovative webcams up in the net
